The LTT 1301 Tactical Shotgun brings all of the upgrades you want together, combining them all into one custom package. We start with a Beretta 1301 Tactical C with the Pro Lifter and semi-flat trigger then add the LTT Super Duty Shotgun Sight, a Magpul shotgun Stock and associated adapters from GG&G or a fixed stock from Chisel Machining, and your choice of upgraded forends so that you can set up your shotgun for the way you like to shoot. Optionally, you can also select an LTT Heat Shield, an optic mount, and a shell carrier.

The LTT 1301 has QD sling mounting points build into the barrel clamp, and the Magpul stock comes from the factory with a footman’s loop for attaching a sling. You can also add QD cups to the stock (available separately from Magpul). The 1301 Mod 2 ships with Beretta's ultra reliable 7 round tube* and we finish it all off with the Langdon Tactical Trigger Job, improving the smoothness and consistency of the trigger pull and making it slightly lighter.  These LTT shotguns also include a Condition 1 Hard Sided Case (Changed in August 2023). The perfect shotgun for home defense

Posted by Jairo Hernandez on Feb 21st 2026

The perfect shotgun for home defense — that’s exactly how I’d describe my LTT Beretta 1301 with the LTT Trigger Job. I wanted an all-black setup with a folding stock and all the upgrades included from the start so I wouldn’t have to spend time and money adding parts later. LTT delivered exactly that. I ordered it with the LTT heat shield and pressure pad, and the overall craftsmanship is outstanding. Everything feels solid, refined, and professionally assembled. As soon as I picked up shells, I took it straight to the range to pattern and zero the Holosun 507C that LTT mounted on top. I primarily ran Federal Flight Control 00 buck (9-pellet), and also shot Winchester 7.5 shot through it. Right out of the box, I put approximately 300 rounds through the shotgun — and experienced zero stoppages or hiccups. It ran flawlessly. The recoil impulse is surprisingly soft and very manageable, especially for a defensive shotgun. Follow-up shots are quick and controlled. Zeroing the optic was incredibly fast thanks to how low it sits behind the irons. The co-witness is spot on, which made bringing the red dot onto target feel natural and intuitive. I was dialed in within minutes. The LTT trigger job is another standout feature. The trigger break and reset are crisp, predictable, and consistent. I was able to shoot round after round with total confidence and no hesitation. Disassembly and maintenance were straightforward as well. The LTT how-to video on Rumble was clear and easy to follow, making cleaning simple and stress-free. Overall, this setup checks every box for a serious home defense shotgun — reliability, shoot ability, thoughtful upgrades, and top-tier craftsmanship. After 300 flawless rounds and impressive performance with both 00 buck and birdshot, I can confidently say LTT absolutely nailed it.

    Top Home Defense Semiauto Shotgun

Posted by Aaron on Apr 28th 2024

The 1301 Tactical is probably the best semiauto currently on the market. I'm not sure I can pull the trigger faster than the gas system on any other shotgun anyways, but the BLINK system certainly has the edge in cycling rate over the other semis. The shotgun is very light, but the gas system makes even heavy buck loads feel pretty tame. The Magpul furniture was a must for me, it makes the ergonomics of the 1301 and my 590A1 almost identical. The slots on the Zhukov end up in a pretty good spot for mounting a remote switch. The pro lifter is another absolute must. I'm glad they started putting them in with the mod2, no more Beretta thumb. I would normally build out the shotgun myself, but, at the time I was comparing prices, the 1301 Tactical (even at a discount) along with all the furniture I wanted, came out to about the same price as the LTT. The convenience of having LTT put it together, along with a trigger job, couldn't be beat. I put an RMR on top and a Surefire Scout out front along with the remote switch. I could not be happier with the setup. The Condition 1 case is basically trash though. I wish they would leave it out and save the $20. (It's flimsy and I need 5 hands to hold all the latches out of the way when closing or else they all get caught.)

    Okay, prefer the factory gun.

Posted by W. Brown on Mar 5th 2024

My 3 star rating is for only the changes made by LTT, in comparison to a standard 1301 Tactical. The fit of the Zhukov handguard is not good. Its obvious when holding the gun that it doesn't belong. There is a large gap between the barrel and handguard that leaves the operating system exposed. Also, it does not have anywhere to get a really solid grip like the factory fore end, which has a recessed area for your fingers to bite into. Its a downgrade if you ask me. The Magpul stock is really no better than the factory piece. The grip angle for me is very weird and puts my hand and wrist at an awkward angle. The only benefit is the adjustable length of pull, which is a nice feature. I got the RMR mount, which I do like. It fit well and has a decent adjustable iron sight. I did not like the GG&G 6 shot side saddle. Shells fit super tight and are hard to get in/out. I even left shells in for a couple months to try to break in the rubber, but still too tight to be practical. It also has sharp edges that shaves plastic off the shells when inserting & removing them. I ended up removing it. The trigger job really isn't any improvement over the stock triggers I have felt. Its like pulling a rubber band until it breaks. The cerakote is very nice. I got OD green and it looks beautiful. LTT customer service has been excellent. My gun had a barrel alignment issue, LTT paid shipping both ways and fixed the issue no charge. Overall I dont think the gun is worth the price over the standard gun. If I could do it over again, I would buy a box stock 1301 tactical and just buy the RMR mount. I did ask LTT if I could get the factory parts, so I could switch back to the beretta stock and fore end, but they buy a stripped version of the gun from Beretta so those parts aren't available.

    Great shotgun

Posted by Stephen on Feb 12th 2023

I normally build out my own guns but my time is pretty limited right now. The quality of this gun is awesome-o, LTT did a great job on the build. In addition their field stripping\cleaning video is great and really helped out to learn about the gun.

    Worth Every Penny

Posted by Jeremy on Nov 26th 2022

When I say this gun runs, this gun RUNS. The rate at which this gun can fire is unreal. Trigger pull and cycling is smooth as butter. Love this gun, and it puts a smile on the face of everyone who shoots it.

    1301 out of the box

Posted by JH on Aug 27th 2022

I took it out of the box, mounted up and dirty zero’d my 509T, and went to the range the next day. I used some defense 00 as well as some slugs, both from 10 yards and 25 yards. Couldn’t miss the 9/10 rings with either. The reloads are also like butter with the beveled edges. This thing is truly a work of art! Hats off to everyone over at LTT! Also, regarding the switch to the GG&G hardware, as this was a GREAT improvement! The side saddle is rock solid and much more reliable! Already ordered a charging handle from them, as the stock one is a little less than preferred for me. Maybe include them on the gen 3’s? :) thanks EL!
