Important Update: Improved Design for Your VP Armory Beretta PX4 Compact Light-Mounted Compensator with Streamlight TLR-7 Sub
It has been brought to our attention that there is a potential fatigue mode in the design of our first-generation Beretta PX4 Compact Light-Mounted Compensator with Streamlight TLR-7 Sub. At Vantage Point Armory, we take the quality and safety of our products very seriously and have taken appropriate measures to address this issue.
The original 4-40 screw with the TLR-7 Sub was too weak, leading to potential failures under pressure and recoil. This could cause the front of the compensator to bend forward, possibly resulting in baffle strikes.
Improvements in Gen 2 Design:
These changes have been rigorously tested and proven effective, ensuring reliability and durability without affecting holster compatibility. As part of our commitment to providing you with the best possible products, any customer who had purchased a Gen 1 model has been sent a replacement compensator free of charge.
Important: Please discard your Gen 1 compensator. The new screw is thicker and will only work with the Gen 2 compensator model. We are not responsible for any issues that may arise from continued use of the Gen 1 model.
Note: Langdon Tactical Technology (LTT) is aware of these updates and has worked with us to ensure you receive your replacement compensator promptly.
Transform your shooting experience with precision and control. The Vantage Point Armory Compensator combines innovative technology with a patent-pending design, offering unparalleled functionality and adaptability for any situation.
Minimize Recoil / Reliable Compensation: Minimize recoil and maintain control shot after shot. During firing of the weapon, the attached compensator funnels the gas from the propellant through the ports machined into the compensator. This acts the same as other compensators on the market. However, because this system is not attached to the slide or barrel it does not inhibit, change or impede the cycling action of the pistol.
Enhance Stability: Enhanced stability and target reacquisition for unparalleled accuracy
Rugged and Reliable: Designed to withstand intense shooting sessions. Drop tests have proven the Vantage Point Compensator to be as rugged as it is effective.
Interfaces with the Pistol via a Weapon-Mounted Light: Ideal for those seeking enhanced performance with a weapon light:
Holster Selection: Any universal holster (e.g. PHLster Floodlight) or custom holster that normally accepts a standard frame-mounted accessory such as a Surefire X300U-A light or Streamlite TLR-7 will fit with no modifications to the holster because the accessory remains in the same location as when mounted using the original rails that originally came with the accessory. Learn more about holster compatibility here.
Standoff Device: When in a situation where the muzzle of the firearm is pushed up against its intended target, the pistol will not go out of battery and therefore it will still be able to fire with the compensator in place.
Ease of Cleaning: Barrel-mounted compensators need to be disassembled and unthreaded to be cleaned which can be a hassle and time consuming to re-time the device. This unit can just be unclamped from the rail by disengaging the locking lug on the accessory for easy field stripping and cleaning of the firearm and compensator.
Price vs. Competition: Since the Vantage Point Compensator mounts to the accessory rail, there is no need for expensive aftermarket barrels.
50 State Legal: Since no threaded barrel is required, our compensator is legal in all 50 states.
Sleek Design: The designer has matched the lines of each individual slide to the compensator, resulting in a streamlined device.
Made in USA: Crafted with precision from premium materials in the USA.
Carefully read and follow the instructions below to avoid damaging your compensator and firearm. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury to the shooter and damage to the compensator and firearm. As the Customer, you acknowledge and agree that it is solely your responsibility for complying with these procedures and checking your compensator regularly. We are not responsible for damage to the compensator or firearm.
Step-by-Step Instructions for Assembling the TLR7 Sub PX4 Compact Compensator:
Before you begin, ensure you have the following:
PLEASE NOTE:
Upgrading your handgun with a compensator requires a higher level of maintenance and care. Ensuring that it is installed correctly and checked frequently is critical for proper function and safety.
It is possible to experience a failure with the Vantage Point Armory PX4 compact compensator that results from a broken or loose center tensioning or attachment screw. If the attachment screws become loose during firing, or breaks due to improper installation, it will cause the light body to droop downward, dropping the recoil lug out of engagement with the rail.
If this is not identified by the user, the compensator will slide forward with each shot, until it travels far enough down the rail and is able to bend downwards into the line of the bore. If this happens, you will get a baffle strike on the compensator.
THESE FAILURES ARE PREVENTABLE and AVOIDABLE.
Results may vary depending on the handler. Vantage Point Armory is not in any way responsible for the misuse of firearms or firearm parts/accessories or the results of such misuse. We highly recommend gun owners inspect parts and accessories frequently. This will help mitigate the possibility of accidents and malfunctions.
The Vantage Point Compensator is intended for use on OEM pistols only - VPA does not guarantee function or reliability with aftermarket or modified guns.

This is an awesome design!! I love the fit and finish.
Worked as advertised, and had a blast shooting it (pun very much intended). Disassembled for cleaning and noticed that the finish of the slide where it sits behind the compensator is completely gone, the metal is in the silver, and has flame erosion patterns. This compensator damaged my slide.
I bought the compact compensator only model. I had a 1913 tlr 7 sub in my safe I figured I'd use for this. Now it could just be that I'm not installing this correctly but it seems I have to take the 2 small screws off that hold the light to the brackets (now to the comp) every time I want to pull my slide off. The comp slides on to the rail, then I have to install the light with the rail adapter to keep the compensator in place using the 2 smaller screws. Not the best system if I'm doing this correctly. Not sure if it's even possible to improve the design but I'm no engineer. Haven't fired it yet, I know it'll make a difference in recoil I've no concern there. Wouldn't hurt to include instructions or mention that the small screws need to come off every time you want to clean your px4. Really not a deal breaker, I'm more concerned with stripping the screws going on and off.
