92/96/M9 FAQ's:

  • Will the OP Trigger Bar work with the existing trigger job/trigger job in a bag I have? Yes it will.
  • Will the OP Trigger Bar work with the Short Reach Trigger? Yes.
  • Is this drop in ready? Yes. It may need to be fitted, but less than the other trigger bars we sell. **92X Performance requires Gunsmith Fit**
  • What 92's will this work in? It will work in the 92F models and later and *may* also work with 92SB's. It will not work with the 92S.
  • Do I need to have a trigger job on my gun in order for this to work? No, you do not.
  • Is the firing pin block functional and gun still drop safe with the installation of this OP Trigger Bar? Yes.
  • Will the OP Trigger Bar work on a 92 Compact and Centurion? Yes.
  • Will the OP Trigger Bar work on the 92D? Yes, it will work, but it will not reduce the reset.
  • Does the OP Trigger Bar reduce pre-travel? No.
  • Will the OP Trigger Bar work on a 92D or Double action only model? The hard finish should make the Double action smoother, but it will not reduce the reset. The OP Trigger Bar shortens the reset in single action only.
  • I Installed my OP Trigger Bar and now I feel a 'hitch' in DA? At the very beginning of the trigger pull in DA, the 'hitch' is the half cock notch. All of them do it, this is normal, you may just notice it more because it's actually smoother. You may even hear it, but rest assured, it's normal. It's a safety measure and part of DA/SA operation.

The short shirt reset is ridiculous i have SiG legion with their Srt and thought it set the bar.. This blows me away it’s ridiculous short almost scary . I had no adjustments need to install this it worked right out of the boxe and I’m very pleased. I’m running the 13lb hammer spring and that with the trigger bar is all you need .crazy smooth I love it all around best bang for the buck . I always wanted a Wilson Combat beretta and I’m glad I saved my money .i also am running the LTT grips and love them.

Best upgrade you can do to your 92

Posted by Richard Yi on Feb 22nd 2020

Absolutely incredible upgrade that totally transforms your Beretta trigger. It may take a little bit of fitting but it's stupid easy if you want Langdon's video on it. You sand the over travel stop a bit, reinstall it, and it either works or it doesnt. Once you got it installed though, you are rewarded with a nice tight single action with almost no over travel and a super short reset. It wont do much for the smoothness of the double action but what it does do is eliminate the over travel which makes shooting the double action accurately completely brainless. If you have friends who think the Beretta is obsolete, show them one with this trigger bar installed and it will change their mind.

    OPTIMIZED PERFORMANCE TRIGGER BAR

Posted by Slayer Arms on Feb 10th 2020

After building my other Beretta with Wilson combat optimized trigger bar and not really noticing a differents.. I decided to give the Langdon Tactical OPTIMIZED PERFORMANCE TRIGGER BAR a try on my other 92 pistol.. and I am not disappointed.. the reset is short and very noticeable and the double action seems smoother also.. I would recommend the Langdon Tactical products to everyone that wants to improve their shooting experience with the Beretta 92 pistol..

    Awesome!

I installed this trigger bar in my M9A3 with Beretta's Xtreme-S Trigger Group, and the single action trigger pull and reset is like a high end 1911. Absolutely essential!

    Trigger bar

Posted by Steven on Feb 5th 2020

Installed my optimized trigger bar today. Dropped right in. I had installed a 26 lbs mainspring and polished all of the internal parts several years ago. Well worth the upgrade. Right now it is phenomenal. Smooth as butter. I ordered a 14 lbs mainspring to go with it. Should be a tack driver.

Installed the LTT trigger bar tonight

Posted by Eric Foote on Jan 16th 2020

I live in Maricopa, AZ and ordered this on 1-15-2020 and received it on 1-16-2020. Ernest is about 30 miles away from me. So, I'm under the impression that this trigger bar is not just a drop in and that having to do some filing is the norm, which was fine with me. I have an Italian made M9A3 and the trigger has been NICE from day one. I took my time and filed the nub down little by little until the dbl action worked reliably and boy it seems to be more consistent now. I really like the reset on it now also, it's about as good as my Sig P226 Legion SAO...maybe 1/16". I tried it with the Wilson short reach trigger and I didn't like the feel of that trigger. When I was messing with filing the trigger bar, I was going back and forth on seeing where the trigger bar was with the 2 triggers, and for some reason, the Wilson trigger would have required me to take even more material off the nub of the trigger bar to get the dbl action to function. I didn't like the Wilson trigger in single action. It was too close to the grip and just didn't feel right. I also tried a Wilson 14# spring and didn't like it and put the D spring back in. I think a lot of the Wilson parts are just hype. An M9A3 is quality and not much needs to be done to it. The Wilson low profile safety and mag assist are the only 2 upgrades from them that I've liked. I went with a Beretta steel guide rod, elite 2 hammer, and stayed with Beretta springs. Lok bogie grips were the finishing touch.

    The best upgrade

Posted by Zach on Jan 16th 2020

I've got this and the trigger job in a bag from Landgon. If you can only pick one upgrade for your Beretta, do yourself a favor and make it this part. It's such a dramatic improvement, and combined with the trigger job it's a night and day difference over stock.

Wow, I thought I'd tuned my LTT, but this upgrade makes the Beretta LTT feel better than my SRT triggers in my Sig Classic pistols! Great job engineering this upgrade!!!!
