Beretta 92 series Steel extended mag releas

This is an outstanding OEM Beretta steel part that replaces the plastic mag release. It is the perfect amount of extension without being in the way. Mag drops can happen without having to reposition your hand. Once I took the left side grip off, I was able to install it in seconds. I liked it so much that I bought a second one for my other Beretta 92FS. I highly recommend this part.

This mag release completed my upgrade to all steel parts on my 92FS Brigadier. Once you learn the technique installation is a breeze. I was pleased to see that it was a square button, rather than the round one. It functions flawlessly and makes a mag drop much simpler without having to adjust your grip. I currently have another one on order and waiting for shipment. That will complete my upgrade to steel parts on my other 92FS OD green version.

    Simple Yet Effective Upgrade

Posted by Steven H. on Apr 11th 2026

I purchased the Beretta 92 Oversized Mag Button for my M9A1. It puts the position of the mag button in a superior location compared to the stock one. I can effortlessly drop magazines when pressing the button where as before with the stock one I'd have to really hook my thumb and apply pressure. The oversized button brings the position to be equal to the handgun instead of recessed below it. Installation is pretty simple once you get the trick down to pop it into place. The video I watched from YouTube the guy just kept saying to "press in and press down" to get it to click in. Helpful information left out is that you are doing this motion to first seat a spring into a groove and compress the spring with the "press in" motion. Then once the spring is seated and compressed you will "press down" to allow the button to snap into the channel, allowing the other side of the spring block to click into place. If you are unaware of the spring block placement during this process then the "Press in and press down" process won't do anything productive.

    Affordable upgrade

I Have a few 92 variations and two of them didn't have extended mag releases. These are well priced and a must have IMO. Install honestly was a bit of a pain for me. Not LT's or Beretta's fault. You have to get the angle just right. After more than a few tries I finally got it after watching a couple videos. I'll go to LT for all my Beretta accessories.

    Great upgrade

Great upgrade over the standard 92 magazine release. Extends your magazine release just enough to make it easy to drop the mag without breaking your grip but not enough that the mag will pop out unexpectedly if bumped against something. Mine required no fitting to the mag release or grip as some other reviews have mentioned and installed easily in about 5 minutes. Langdon shipped quick and it got to me in about 5 days from the other side of the country. Thanks!

    Not Just For A Beretta

It worked great on a Girsan Regard. The finish was a bit thick on the sides. Removing some (while adding some bluing) made for a nice fit. The extra reach is great!

    Great product. Check fitment.

I put this on my 92fs. It works great, but only after drilling out a portion the stock grip to make room for the enlarged button to fully depress. Check to make sure what 92 you're putting it on, unless you don't mind changing or modifying the grips.

    Perfect mag release upgrade

Strong construction, drop in fit, 5 minute installation. The texture and size of this mag release make it noticeably superior to the stock button, especially when combined with the ultra thin G10 grip panels.
