We have brought back the Beretta Elite 2 Hammer and the Beretta Match Hammer in our trigger jobs in a bag for a limited time while we await our next batch of LTT Optimized Performance Hammers to arrive

After several thousand trigger jobs on Beretta 92s and PX4s, Langdon Tactical Technology offers the Trigger Job in a Bag. We polish and hand-stone all of the components that are part of the firing mechanism to smooth and lighten your trigger pull in DA and SA. The Trigger Job in a Bag is about 80 percent of what we do when we don't have the actual firearms. You can also do a full NP3 upgrade to your pistol that includes a Trigger Job with this kit. In August 2025, LTT switched over to a newly designed optimized performance hammer to optimize total trigger job performance in every way with improved sear notch geometry, reduced pre-travel distance, faster lock time, and better firing pin indent with lighter hammer springs. We believe this kit set-up gives you the best Trigger Job Performance and stand behind this hammer design, which has been over a year in development and manufacturing.

PLEASE NOTE

This kit MAY require some fitting for proper install and function. Please watch the install guide video on the Videos tab of this page prior to purchase. We recommend that this kit be installed by a competent gunsmith.

TJIAB with Optimized Performance Trigger Bar

Posted by Alex on Jul 25th 2019

I ordered the Trigger Job in a Bag with the Optimizer Performance Trigger Bar for my Italian-made 92 with a born on date of 2013, which is the year I bought it. I decided to favor reliability over outright pull weight and so went with the 13lb hammer spring. Installation took some time, primarily because I took the opportunity to clean and examine as I went (and the roll pin for the hammer spring cup just plain sucks to remove on Italian guns). I fussed and fussed with the trigger bar, which wouldn't even release the SA pull. A timely video of Ernest showing where to carefully "stone" off a trace amount of metal from the over-travel stop had me visiting a big box home improvement store to buy a tile polishing stone (read: brick) which did the trick. I have 4,000+ rounds through the gun-most of which with a "D" hammer spring. I thought it was great: about 9.0lb DA/4.5lb SA. Now having installed this great piece of kit, I realize: 1) just how much my former trigger mechanism stacked, and 2) how glassy a good trigger can feel. ...oh, and it's 6.5lb DA on the dot and 3.5lb SA. Perfect. Just perfect. The lighting-quick reset is just a silly cool bonus. Thanks for all your doing to blossom the 92 into the gun we all knew it could be! All those striker-fired guys don't know what they're missing...and I kind of like it that way.

    Trigger Job In a Bag

Just installed my fourth TJIB. Installation is simple and the results are extraordinary! Using the 12lb hammer spring, I’m getting right at 6lbs on double action and 3.5lbs on single action, but what’s truly remarkable is the smoothness. The double action glides straight through to the break, without hesitation and the single action is reminiscent of the break on a 1911. I won’t own a Beretta without a TJIB now. Thanks so much for this fine product, Ernest!

Greatly improved the trigger on my 92 ltt. Much smoother and lighter trigger pull. The silver trigger bar and hammer complimented the silver trigger. Would definitely buy again.

    TJIB - WOW!!

Posted by Steve B on Jul 12th 2019

Installed with little a little difficulty mainly getting the sear spring seated thanks to my XL hands. I followed the excellent video and completed the install. However, the hammer wouldn't cock, in fact, it wouldn't move more than a 1/3 inch. I contacted LTT and they suggested the hammer strut did not seat correctly. A little manipulation with a punch and the hammer and the strut seated. My 92G now has a butter smooth DA (6 lbs 8 oz) and SA (3 lbs 1 oz). Trigger weight based on average of 5 pulls each, in a vise, with a Lyman digital pull gauge. Very happy with the kit, LTT, and of course with my 92.

I went with the 12# and elite 2 hammer. Works 100% with cci primers (all that I used). Unbelievably smooth in double and single action. I used to shoot a 92 in 1999 with all the trick parts you offered when LTT was in Virgina. 20 years latter and this kit has been perfected. Well done!

Trigger in a bag Baretta 92

I have always liked my Beretta 92A1 for general shooting. When I started shooting competition I did not like the heavy trigger on this pistol. After searching and reading a lot of reviews I decided to order the "Trigger in a bag". Installation was not to difficult. Checked trigger pull before and after, did not seem that much different. BUT when I took it to the range, WOW, great groupings in both SA and DA. Trigger is so smooth feels like pull weight has been cut in half. It's now my go to pistol for matches. More than worth the investment.
