Frequently Asked Questions regarding the RDO Cut for 92 Series Pistols:

Q: Is the LTT RDO Solution the same as the Beretta RDO Solution?

A: No; Our solutions are very different in design and functionality, and are not compatible with one another: Our plate will not fit the Beretta RDO slide, nor will their plate fit our slides. HOWEVER, we can cut the Beretta M9A4 Slide to get your dot lower!

Q: What is the cowitness of the RDO BUIS?

A: The LTT RDO included front & rear BUIS is a lower-1/3rd cowitness if using certain optics - this will change based on the plate and the optic.

A: Yes, as of 4/12/2023, we can cut nearly all 92/96/M9 series pistols made after 1982 - for Beretta factory RDO models, only the RMR, 509T, and EPS plates are available.

Q: Can I have my INOX/Stainless slide cut without being recerakoted?

A: Yes, INOX/stainless slides will be cut with only the milled area receiving recoat.

Q: Can you cut my .22 conversion slide for Beretta 92?

Our plates have been designed to fit tightly with the optic body of the main optic it was designed for. Other optics manufacturers may use the same footprint for mounting but have a different size optic body or may change the size of their optic body without warning. We cannot guarantee fit with all manufacturers that use these listed footprints.

    Optic cut

Posted by Eric Kroll on Sep 22nd 2020

The craftsmanship that is exhibited in this finished product from LTT is superb. The instruction video was very helpful and showed what to do/not to do when mounting the optic. The cerakote job was better than what was on it when it was sent in, that was appreciated. Team, you have once again knocked it out of the park with this offering!!

    M9A3 RDO Cut

Posted by Steven on Sep 17th 2020

I got my M9A3 slide back and I could not be happier with how it turned out. The mounting platform is extremely rigid and it mounts impressively low on the slide. Mounted my Holosun 507C-V2 on it. I have no complaints about the service itself. That being said, some things that I saw may be a slight inconvenience but is by no means a deal breaker. 1) For the M9A3 slide specifically, that slight upswept angle of the safety levers will go back to the traditional right angle due to the design of the modified levers and safety mechanism to make it work with the cut. 2) I wish we could have different front sight options. I think something like the Ameriglo sights with a bright orange front or a fiber optic would be really neat compared to the completely blacked out front. That's all I have to say really about it. It is an awesome upgrade for your slide and I cannot recommend it enough.

LTT RDO Elite Optic Cut for 92 Slide

Posted by Richard Castillo on Sep 17th 2020

Received my slide back from LTT. Top Notch! Excellent work. Optic actually mounts lower than most optic-ready striker fire slides. And, it is ROCK SOLID. Thanks LTT, this is a game changer for 92 fans!

LTT RDO Elite Optical Cut for 92 slide

Posted by Bill Mortimore on Sep 5th 2020

As soon as I saw the notice from LTT that they were offering a modification to my 92X slide I sent it off. Four weeks later I had it back in my hands. The quality of their work is top notch. I mounted my new Holosun Red Dot Site, using the online video as a guide and it looks great. I haven't been able to shoot it yet but I am looking forward to doing that within the week. I noticed the trigger pull in both double action and single action is a little heavy but I expect that will loosen up with use. I'm very happy with the quality and turn-time of this service.

Amazing product from an amazing company!

Posted by KEWAN ZARIFKAR on Sep 2nd 2020

I've been a huge fan of the Beretta 92/M9 series of pistols ever since I bought my first firearm, a 92FS. Since then I've grown the collection, including an M9A3. When I started looking for the best solutions for mounting a red dot on my favorite pistol, I was a little disappointed in the offerings at the time. I was already aware of all the work that Ernest Langdon and Langdon Tactical do for the platform, so when I stumbled across his comment on a forum post of a member looking for a red dot mounting solution, I got very excited. He kept it very secretive but assured he was working on a better solution. When LTT finally teased the release of the LTT RDO conversion, and then officially released it, I was blown away and made my order that very same day. I packaged up my slide and sent it off for LTT to work their magic. What followed was actually a pretty quick turnaround, although it didn't feel like it because of how excited I was. It was waiting on me at home on 9/2 day, and I opened up the box like a kid on Christmas. Everything was packaged up securely, with clear instructions and a link to the YouTube video for installation of the red dot sight. I watched the video which clearly laid out what to do, and what not to do. I took Langdon's advice not to rush out and just tighten it by hand, so I rushed to the store to buy the last torque limiting screwdriver on the shelf, if I was going to do it, I was going to do it right. Installation was very simple, and it looks even better than I could've imagined. My Trijicon RMR fits perfectly with a satisfying secure fit, and everything has very tight tolerances. Loctite and hardware was all included as well, which is a small but appreciated gesture. I was also highly impressed that while my slide was away, they refinished the coating and it looks better than it did from the factory. For those who are unaware, the M9A3 slides seem to use a different finish from the previous Bruniton, and it wears differently. My M9A3 slide had that wear on it from regular use, and it came back looking better than new! LTT also included a little handwritten "Kilroy was here" doodle on my order form, and threw in a patch. Overall I'm highly satisfied with the whole experience, and can't wait to get out to the range and put some serious round count through my M9A3.
