First Impressions....Outstanding
Picked up a 92 Elite LTT with trigger job today and am thoroughly impressed from start to finish. I ordered the pistol on a Sunday; lead times stated ~3 days for a trigger job. The pistol shipped Monday, and arrived at the FFL on Wednesday. Amazing. I wish I could say the same about the FFL on the receiving end, but I won't go into detail about an aspect that was neither the fault of Langdon Tactical or the pistol itself. Haven't had a chance to shoot the pistol yet, but will share. my initial impressions. The pistol is Beretta quality, as expected. This 92, on the other hand, is something else. I thought my M9A3 was nice (it still is), but Langdon Tactical takes the 92 series to a whole new level. I don't have a trigger gauge, but subjectively I'd say the DA weigh is easily under 10 pounds, smooth all the way through, and with minimal to no stacking as it approaches the break point. SA reset is short, crisp, and the pull is clean without any creep. I'd subjectively place it at around 3-4 pounds. The sights are the type I'm starting to prefer -- blacked out, wide notch rear with a narrow high visibility fiber optic front sight. One of the things I really like on my M9A3 is the front and back strap checkering, and the Elite LTT delivers the same on both. The grip panels are aggressive, but not excessively so, and provide excellent purchase. Add in all metal parts/controls, extended mag release, and type-G decocker only and you've got a really nice, high end semi-custom pistol. The M9A3 is able to keep 25/25 in the 0 ring of an IDPA target at 25 yards, and 20/25 in the 0 ring at 50 yards in my hands...can't wait to see what the Elite 92 LTT is capable of.
