The Striker Control Device (SCD) is a cover plate for your Glock pistol that blocks the rearward motion of the striker when thumb pressure is applied to the back of the slide, similar to a hammer on a DA/SA hammer fired pistol. It was originally developed by Tom Jones and Todd Louis Green from the inspiration of double action hammer fired pistols, where shooters are taught to keep their thumb on the hammer when holstering. Keeping your thumb on the back of the hammer gives you positive feedback should something be caught in the trigger guard to prevent the gun from firing. The SCD does just that for the Glock striker fired pistols.
The LTT Glock SCD works with all of the Gen 5 Glock pistols (yes, this includes the Glock 20). Check out the installation video here.
The LTT Hellcat SCD works with the .380 and 9mm Hellcat, Hellcat Pro, and Hellcat Pro Comp models.

The Slim Frame & Full Size SCD DO NOT fit or function with the Glock 42.

Please Note The SCD will NOT function correctly with the Glock® Performance Trigger or Timney Triggers, as these trigger options cause the striker to become fully tensioned, defeating the purpose/function of the SCD.
The SCD will NOT function in Glock clones or aftermarket Glock platforms.
Update January 2025 Slim Frame, Gen 1 through 4, and Gen 5 Glock SCD's will now ship with a solid roll pin.

Product is well made, easy to assemble in the side. Everything you expect from LTT. This item give you the extra layer of safety and as a DA/SA guy at heart its a nice feature to add. Only disclaimer for large frame models it will not work with a factory Glock performance trigger is installed other wise its a game changer for the 43X.
I've been working with it, trying to make it discharge safely and it's an amazing addition to my Glock 43. Takes the worry out of holstering appendix carry.
The item works as described Could have used a third hand to install, but not bad. I gave it a rating of three because I felt it was a little expensive.
Works as it was designed. Very satisfied. Now awaiting possible Gen 6 version?
Well built, and well worth the price for the peace of mind it gives me. When can I get one for my Gen 6 Glock?
I am aware Glocks pretty much need a trigger pull to go off. I fear the worst and these SCDs are the perfect solution to knowing if anything to pressing that trigger. I would like to eventually get a DA/SA firearm, likely from LTT, but in the meantime this allows me to feel if the plate is being actuated like a DA's hammer would.
The added safety of drawing with a thumb on the hammer of a DA/SA pistol without losing the advantages of a striker fired pistol! For the price and peace of mind, this was a no brainer.
