The Fastback Optic Mount is a purpose-built solution to add a red dot low to the receiver of your shotgun. Now available in three versions: Beretta 12GA (1301/A300), Beretta 20GA A300, and Mossberg 500/590! The optic sits as far back on the receiver as possible to make emergency reloads over the top of the receiver faster and easier, and to make it easier for the shooter to find and track the dot.

The co-witnessed backup sight sits forward of the optic to limit obstructions to your sight picture. The sight itself is a pistol-style notch that is click-adjustable for windage in 1 MOA increments using the rim of a shotgun shell as a tool.

All Fastback mounts are constructed of hard-coat anodized aluminum, and the rear sight adjustment mechanism is made of nitrided stainless steel for corrosion resistance in all climates.

1301/A300 12GA

Regulated for Federal Truball Low Recoil at 50 yards. Compatible with factory front sights and the LTT Super Duty Front Sight.

Installation torque: 15 in/lbs

A300 20GA

All three optic footprints mount using the factory RMR cut in the receiver for the most robust attachment possible. The Fastback mount raises the optic high enough that the front sight doesn’t obstruct your entire window like it will if you mount an optic onto the factory cut. The RMR mount screws directly into the receiver using custom screws. The rear sight is regulated for 7/8oz low recoil slugs at 25 yards.

Installation torque: 19 in/lbs

Mossberg 500/590

Regulated for Federal Truball Low Recoil fired from 18.5 inch barrels with front rifle sights (like the sights on Mossberg 50765) at 25 yards. Mounts using 8-40 screws. Will not shoot to point of aim with the 20 inch barrel factory iron sights without adjusting the front sight height.

Not tested on the Mossberg 940 or 990 semiauto shotguns.

Installation torquePlate to receiver: 20 in/lbs RMR to plate: 15 in/lbs

    Quality component. 10 yard zero.

Quality design, fit, and finish. I purchased the 509t model. Installation was simple and straightforward. I zeroed with Federal Tru-Ball. The irons appear to be zeroed at 10 yards using the stock 1301 front sight. There is no vertical adjustment, but the horizontal has firm clicks and adjusts easily using the rim of a 12 gauge shell.
