Peak Aesthetics
I was torn on my rating of this firearm because of what it is. There is a lot to unpack here so hang in there. The 92 platform in general is not my favorite shooter. Adding in LTT is a necessity or I wouldn’t even own one or be typing this. I’m drawn to the 92 because of nostalgia and its design aesthetic. Now that’s out of the way let’s talk about LTT. Their trigger work is great, their RDO cut is the best you will get on this platform. Beretta made the right move adopting it. I’m not a fan of the C&H design plate with the t-nuts however, only time will tell the longevity of it on this gun. I’ve had bad luck on others. Some of these things would certainly keep this review from 5 stars. But I had to really look at what I’m reviewing here and that’s this variant specifically. The Elite LTT II blackout is by far in my opinion the pinnacle of the 92/LTT series of guns. Every option selected on this variant just elevates this gun above everything Langdon or Beretta has done with the 92. Only thing I changed was I am not a fan of 6moa dots and I did not vibe with the gold. So I replaced it with a 507 Comp in red. (Personal preference). I would have liked to get the ported barrel but it added too much to the lead time and I’m impatient. I will get one separately when they come back in stock as a separate part. As far as the customer service goes. When I received the gun it was missing the mag guide and whoever assembled it used the wrong screws on the optic and they protruded beyond the bottom of the plate. LTT was quick to respond and send me extra hardware and the mag guide right away. This did leave an unsettling thought in my mind about the plate mounting so I removed it, cleaned everything up and reinstalled myself just for piece of mind. Obviously I would have preferred those things not happen but at least I now know I can count on their customer service as well. The gun shoots great for what it is. It doesn’t really like Blazer 124gr very much for whatever reason when I was zeroing it so I switched to 124gr Gold Dot and that grouped very well. Some guns just be like that though. Ultimately at the end of the day I am very happy with this purchase specifically and that’s where this review ended the way it did. I’m trying to solely give a response to this model specifically and assume I’m one of few that may have had a QC mix up. So if you are drawn to this gun like I was and you know what you’re buying, get it, you will not be disappointed. It is peak aesthetics for the Beretta 92.
