The barrels we currently have available are chrome lined carbon factory black barrels that have been ported with LTT's new porting system.
The New Langdon Tactical barrel porting system has six ports (3 on each side) that have a taper shape to the port. This taper gives the port a rocket motor shape, offering the muzzle gases more surface area to push against. This makes for a more efficient port design to maximize the compensating effect. Six ports provide the best compromise between the maximum reduction in muzzle rise and minimal velocity loss.
IMPORTANT: Ported barrels function by directing hot propellant gasses upward to counteract muzzle rise. These gasses will cause your front sight to become dirty or discolored, and the heat may affect certain front sight inserts. You can remove the carbon and fouling by wiping the down with apple cider vinegar. Please direct questions about your sight's compatibility with barrel porting to the sight manufacturer.
