Mecgar 18rd mags with your choice of base pad is the way to go for the 92. If you want to step that game game up to the penultimate choice it’s the np3 mags from LTT. Nothing drops more smoothly or with greater consistency. So easy to clean, virtually no dust build up no matter the range. I’ve run these at competitions across the US and in almost every type of weather you can imagine. A quick wipe down and the reliability is unmatched. I won’t compete with anything else. I won’t use anything else for my EDC - period.
Extremely happy!
Great mags, but MecGar has apparently changed their base pad designs to a square retaining plug, from a round retaining plug. I received a mix of different base pad attachments, which makes attaching aftermarket base pads problematic. The Volker base pads don't work with the square retaining plugs. The markings on the magazines are also different, but that of course doesn't affect function.
These magazines are exceptional and second to no other. The Langdon Tactical NP3 coated Mec-Gar magazine I purchased is even better yet and well worth the price. Next level. If you want the best magazines because your life depends on it, I highly recommend these magazines.
I purchased the 18rd NP3 coated Mec-Gard magazine and it is great! it immediately became my carry magazine the way it flew out when the mag release button was pushed. I was so impressed I bought two more for my shoulder rig.
No difference between the mec-gar and oem beretta mags from… maybe just where they are made. Love them. Great find if you need more mags and price is good. Love LTT for beretta parts & service.
Worth it. The quality of the mecgar regular and NP3 coated magazines are exceptional and compare very favorable with factory issue magazines.
I purchased two spare 18-round NP3 coated Mec-Gar magazines for my Beretta 92 Elite LTT. I have had absolutely zero issues with any of the five magazines I have, and would highly recommend them for use. I have not had any binding issues, the magazines all easily drop free, and the coating makes cleaning easier as a bonus.
