Chrome Silicon Recoil Spring for the 92 Full-Size, Compact and Centurion.

The main benefits of a chrome silicon recoil spring are longevity, consistency, and maintaining reliable cycling over a high round count - consistent performance over time.

  • Longer service life: Chrome silicon is highly resistant to fatigue and tends to maintain its spring rate through repeated compression cycles.
  • More consistent performance: Maintaining spring tension helps keep slide velocity and cycling characteristics consistent as round count increases.
  • Reliable cycling: A properly weighted recoil spring helps control slide movement while providing the energy needed to return the slide fully into battery.
  • Reduced wear: Proper control of slide velocity can help reduce unnecessary impact and stress on the pistol during recoil.
  • Tunable performance: Different spring weights allow shooters to tailor the recoil system to ammunition, shooting style, or specific configurations.
  • Excellent maintenance upgrade: Recoil springs are wear items. A quality chrome silicon replacement is an easy way to keep a heavily used Beretta 92 running as intended.

Not sure whether to choose the 12.5lb, 11.5lb or 14lb? The 12.5lb should be used for EDC and the most commonly purchased. The 11.5lb is typically used for competition with low-powered ammunition. The 14lb Should be used in the 92 Compact and Centurion.

Works great! I just installed this spring with a new steel guide rod and ran 200 rounds through it yesterday. Flawless

    Smooth spring

Installed the 11.5 recoil spring and it definitely helped bring the front sight back on target quicker. Not as aggressive recoil pulse. Thank LTT.

    Simple Upgrade

I read online guidance from Spencer Keepers not to expect too much from swapping out the stock recoil spring with a silicone recoil spring. I believe this to be an accurate statement. That being said, the spring did further soften an already soft recoil on my M9 albeit marginally. For the price it is hard to go wrong on this purchase and only time will tell if there is an increase in parts wear on the gun.
