General Purpose:

Perform activities according to the essential duties and responsibilities as Sales and Marketing Manager. This job will report to the Director of Sales and Marketing and Vice President. Langdon Tactical is a boutique company that involves multiple people wearing multiple hats. Any candidate must be ready to wear their hat plus others as day-to-day or week-to-week activities permit.

Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Provide sales and marketing management services as defined below in the specific areas of Langdon Tactical Technology, Inc.
  • Completes analysis and research in order to make informed recommendations and decisions about actions to improve customer profitability.
  • Candidate must have a high level of communication, attention to detail, relationship development internally and externally, organization and desire to make improvements.
  • Candidate must be solution oriented and able to work autonomously without constant supervision and management.
  • Candidate must have a high level of competency that can easily understand firearms, develop relationships over the phone and answering a multitude of questions.
  • Manages and improves existing departmental sales processes and develops new processes and documentation.
  • Proactively evaluate opportunities for increased efficiency and streamlined information flows on an end-to-end process basis. This individual must possess a strong ability to work across various functional areas within the Company.
  • Have the ability to use and make necessary decisions as it pertains to LTT products, customer service and sales to boost LTT’s product presence and reputation.
  • Manage sales processes and procedures with an objective of:
  • Increasing efficiency through better work flow on an end-to-end basis
  • Improving documentation to increase accuracy and ease of operations
  • Increasing the utilization of technology to enhance the operation and interdepartmental connectivity as they are related to sales, dealer allocation and operation support.
  • Manage Sales Support activities as it pertains to inventory syncing, order processing, dealer and distributor sales allocation and support.
  • Engaging with day-to-days sales activities and support, including individual customer, dealers, distributor, and OEM accounts.
  • Conduct analysis and data mining in the following areas:
  • Compilation and evaluation of indicators of consumer and market trends and preferences (market research)
  • Analysis of sales and customer data to understand customer profitability, inform pricing and strategic decision making, which includes collaboration with the finance and procurement
  • Identification and research of business diversification opportunities
  • Continual development of competitive pricing knowledge base
  • Understand social media requirements to coordinate events with the Social Media Manager
  • Coordinate Marketing Activities to include:
  • Day-to-Day web management for product descriptions, images and new product add-on’s
  • Content creation for e-marketing information for emails for both Langdon Tactical and LTT Discover to coordinate with graphics and web
  • Content creation for social media channels for both Langdon Tactical and LTT Discover
  • New product concept planning
  • Web Domain review and layout to understand how to update web pages and increase information output for the consumer
  • Work closely with the digital marketing team to coordinate advertising activities and content creation
  • Manage production for videos and photos needed to support company efforts and content needs from ideation to creation to production.
  • Increase YouTube and Rumble information for videos posted that need updates
  • Manage relationships in a portfolio of customers in order to:
  • Develop an understanding of the firearms industry, customers, and required relationship management activities
  • Form a perspective that will assist in completing other core job functions such as the development and implementation of procedures, pricing, analysis and forming a perspective around general business activities that will only be achieved through first hand experience.
  • Prepare quotes and/or invoices and support development of dealer/gun store agreements while maintaining a dealer report of yearly sales and purchases.
  • Develop and distribute monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports
  • Maintain dealer, vendor and support contact lists with pertinent information for each account.
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing, Operations and Customer Service.
  • Complete other Sales and Marketing projects and administrative tasks as requested

Requirements to be considered:

  • Exemplary sales and marketing skills are our number one requirement.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test.
  • Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift in excess of 50lbs.
  • Former industry experience a plus.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or other equivalent degree Preferred
  • 5-8 years of Sales and Marketing Experience desired
  • Master’s in Business Administration a plus

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to learn about the proper use of pistols, shooting and understand how they work and what we do. The employee is also required to regularly lift and carry boxes up to 50 pounds. Personal safety protective equipment is required.
Occasional business travel will be required: 5-8 Trips/year for range days, tradeshows, dealer support events.

Position Type:

This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but may require some work outside of these hours.
